Cactus Canyon Marble Race
Website for a marble racing show · US client · Live since July 2026
A searchable home for a marble racing show: every race, every marble’s record and the standings, kept up to date every day without anyone typing them in.
The brief
Cactus Canyon is a marble racing show on TikTok, with years of races and a loyal audience. Every result lived inside a video. Standings were announced on stream and then scrolled away. None of it could be searched.
What I built
- A full race archive: every race with its video, a transcript and the finishing order as text.
- Career stats for every marble, built from the archive so they can’t drift out of step.
- Two standings boards, because the recorded season and the live league are separate competitions.
- A Lorebook and a Rulebook, written down for the first time, and the full roster.
- A live bar that shows when the show is streaming.
How it runs
Every day the site picks up new races, reads the results, updates the stats and standings, and publishes them. A result goes up only when two separate methods of reading it agree. Anything unsure is held for a person to check, and anything unofficial is marked provisional. The owner just makes the show.
