Every project starts with a working preview of your site, free. If you like it, I quote a fixed price for the build, then look after the site for a monthly fee.

Business

For small businesses that want a site built for them and looked after.

Preview: Free, one page, after a short chat
Build: from £1,250a fixed quote after the preview
Paying: Pay at launch, or in up to 12 monthly payments with no interest and no fee, all within 12 months of accepting the quote.
Care: £39 a month
Extra work: £45 an hour, or a fixed quote

Care includes

Hosting, security updates, backups and monitoring
Up to 30 minutes of changes a month (unused time doesn’t roll over)
A reply within one working day

Care: £99 a month
Extra work: £45 an hour, or a fixed quote. Modules such as table bookings are priced separately

The small print, in plain words

What care doesn’t cover

New pages, features or a redesign. I quote them first, and nothing starts without your OK.
Changes beyond your monthly time: £45 an hour, or a fixed quote.
Your domain renewal and email accounts. They’re in your name, and you pay for them directly.
Other paid services the site uses, such as booking or payment apps.
Writing a lot of new content, photography or advertising.

Cancelling

Either of us can end care with one month’s written notice.

Who owns what

Copyright in the work I make for you passes to you on final payment. Shared tools I use for several clients (such as the club office tools and booking modules) and open-source parts stay with their owners, and you get a permanent licence to use them on your site. The domain is registered in your name, and you hold the admin logins.

US clients

US clients are quoted in dollars, at US rates.

VAT

No VAT added.

How much does a website cost?

Builds start from £1,250, or £2,500 for clubs and venues. I give you a fixed quote after the preview. Pay at launch, or in up to 12 monthly payments with no interest and no fee, all within 12 months of accepting the quote.

Why a preview first?

So you can see and use your site before you decide. A real page with your own content says more than any proposal.

What if I don’t like the preview?

Tell me what’s wrong and I’ll say whether I can fix it. If it’s still not for you, you owe nothing.

What happens between yes and launch?

I build the rest from the quote. You get two rounds of changes before the site goes live.

Can I stop the monthly care?

Yes. Either of us can end care with one month’s written notice.
